With the implementation of the 'Welfare Reform Act' in April 2008, there will be a change in payment of DHSS housing benefit currently paid direct to landlords to local housing allowance which will be paid directly to tenants. As a result we strongly encourage all landlords to get their DHSS tenants to sign a guarantor form.
